Have you read my post that “I forgot how to wife?” Read it here because if you don’t, this post would not make a lot of sense right now. But basically, becoming a mom made me be less of a wife, and it started bothering me so much. It was all I thought about and I decided to start making things right.

I decided to get my ass in gear and do something special. My husband always said he would love to redo our wedding photos one day, so I got to organizing. Being in the wedding industry, it did not take me too long to get some vendors together and boy, am I glad we got to do this with some incredible people! Anyhoo, Eugene did not know a thing. I left him clothes to wear at home and told him where to meet me. I was there a couple hours prior getting dolled up and wait for him.

Needless to say, he was surprised, and we honestly had the best day.  I will let the photos do the talking but I need to thank some incredible people first.

Ashanti Estate – your venue is absolutely incredible and made the perfect backdrop for our “vow renewal” session.

Happinest Wedding Planning and Décor Hire – pregnant and working, Erin did one amazing job at picking the colour scheme and making sure all the elements worked well together. She set up the table décor and most of the items you can hire from her! (I wanted to take it all home)

Botanica Flowers – I have no words. How they created works of art out of flowers, is beyond me. I was in awe looking at their masterpieces and I wish we could just freeze it and keep it beautiful forever! You have a wonderful gift and it blew me away.

ElaineBlom Bridal – thank you for helping out VERY last minute and being so enthusiastic. The dress worked out just perfect!

Skoonlief – Suzanne, your personality and liveliness took all my nervous butterflies away. You made me look so incredibly beautiful and I absolutely adore you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My makeup and hair looked perfect!

Prettig Stationary and Design – You nailed the look perfectly. All the stationary looked incredible and worked so well with the entire theme. The extra little details to make it special really made my day.

 

Sheena Henry Cakes – you are a rockstar! How incredibly awesome did that cake turn out? And yes, it tasted as good as it looked. Loving the new square cake look.

 

Then obviously, Lize from Lilac Photography, a woman SO near and dear to me. Your drive, your passion and your absolute infectious happiness honestly made Eugene and I feel so relaxed. You photographed us, but you managed to photograph our souls and our love for each other radiated in each photograph. Your ability to bring the best out of people leaves me speechless and you have one incredible God-given talent. My idol, my role model and someone with one extremely special place in my heart, Lize, I love you and all that you did (and do) for us!
